Steve Hoefer (last name pronounced Hayfer) is an American television director.

Hoefer began his career in the entertainment industry as tour guide at Universal Studios Hollywood. After graduating from the University of Southern California majoring in Theater while also studying Film/Television, Communications and History.

Through a number of contacts, he became a Production Assistant on The Fresh Prince of Bel-air than serving as a Stage Manager on Boy Meets World, where he made his directorial debut during the show's final season.

He began working for Nickelodeon in 2000 serving as the stage manager for The Amanda Show and All That as well as stage managing for five episodes for the sitcom, So Little Time. Hoefer continues to work for Nickelodeon working closely with Dan Schneider and directing episodes for a number of Schneider's series namely Drake&Josh, Zoey101, iCarly, Victorious, Sam and Cat and most recently Henry Danger and Game Shakers. He directed the Henry Danger episodes The Danger Begins, Mo' Danger, Mo' Problems, The Secret Gets Out, Jasper Danger, Too Much Game, Henry the Man-Beast, Invisible Brad, Let's Make a Steal, My Phony Valentine, Elevator Kiss, Henry and the Bad Girl, Part 1, Henry and the Bad Girl, Part 2, One Henry, Three Girls: Part 2, Henry and the Woodpeckers, The Time Jerker, Christmas Danger, Text, Lies & Video, Ox Pox, Danger & Thunder, A Fiñata Full Of Death Bugs, Love Muffin, Hour of Power, Double Date Danger, Green Fingers, Balloons of Doom, Swellview's Got Talent, Brawl in the Hall, Danger Games, Toon in For Danger, Captain Man-kini, Henry's Birthday, Secret Room, Double-O Danger, Henry Danger: The Musical, EnvyGram Wall, The Fate of Danger: Part 1, and The Fate of Danger: Part 2.
